The Japanese government is planning to establish a new visa category tentatively called “Tokutei Gino” (Literally means Specific Skill) to make up the labor shortage of the following business areas: Number of foreign nationals the Japanese government is aiming to accept: Nursing care: 10,000 every year, Agriculture: Up to 103,0000 by year 2023, Construction: 300,000 or more by year 2025, Shipbuilding: 21,000 by year 2025, Accommodation (hotels): 85,000 by year 2030
