Largest number of applications in recent years to Tokyo Immigration Office that makes social distancing impossible
Tokyo Immigration Bureau has been packed with the usual crowd who change visas to study or work as it’s the end of the Japanese academic/business year, and also those who seek extension of their temporary visitor visas as there are no means to go back to their home countries due to the restrictions relating to Covit-19.
Although the government encourages social distancing and non-urgent/essential outings to the public, more practical measures need to be done to this public office to solve the problem. (The immigration office imposes 30-min-based entry restrictions but no avail)
I believe the Tokyo Immigration Office is one of the most crowded public offices in Japan
I often see more people than the photo shown in this article
