COE validity period extended due to the impact on COVIT-19 outbreak
The Immigration Service Agency of Japan announced today that they will extend the validity period of COE for another 3 months until a further notice.
Those who have COE can use it for visa application (at a Japan Embassy/Consulate) and entry to Japan until 6 months after the issue date.
FYI: COE refers to Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Japanese Immigration Bureau and valid for 3 months from the issue date. Now it’s valid for 6 months.
