Possible new visa allowing work at convenience stores?
Japan Franchise Association, which holds companies operating convenience stores as members, requested the Japanese government to add “(Work at) Convenience Stores” to be applicable to the newly-created “Specific Skill (Tokutei Ginou)” visa. Currently, the work at convenience stores is regarded as “manual labor” and not applicable to any of the working visa categories. The industry group suggested that the work at a convenience store requires complicated high skills.
